The High Anti-Corruption Court has granted the Ministry of Justice's request to recover assets belonging to sanctioned Russian Federation Council senator Sergey Kalashnikov. The Security Service of Ukraine has reported this.
This concerns the nationalization of 100% of the charter capital of LLC "Motordetal-Konotop" located in the Sumy region. This enterprise is one of the largest factories in Europe producing cylinder liners for automotive, locomotive, and ship engines.
Sergey Kalashnikov is a member of the Federation Council (upper house of parliament) of Russia. He is subject to sanctions by most Western countries, and he was also sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in September 2022.

"Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Kalashnikov's Ukrainian factory supplied products for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex. In particular, the unique components of the Konotop factory were necessary for the Russians to manufacture their own military ships," the statement said.
Motordetal-Konotop specializes in the production and supply of cylinder liners for internal combustion engines. The enterprise is capable of producing over 1500 types of liners for various automotive equipment, vessels, and locomotives. It has its own cast iron foundry, two machining workshops, and auxiliary workshops.
According to the enterprise's website, it employs over 800 employees and exports its products to 35 countries worldwide.
