Poland - The new uncover of the METAL, ALUMINIUM & NONFERMET and CONTROL-TECH.

Issued at 2011-09-19

Representatives of the business sector leading companies, expanded branch range, cutting-edge technological solutions, specialised conferences, workshops and meetings in addition to a few hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of trade fair attendants – this all makes up the 17th International Fair of Technologies for Foundry METAL, the 10th International Fair of Aluminium & Technology, Materials and Non-Ferrous Metal Products ALUMINIUM & NONFERMET  held simultaneously with the 14th edition of the Fair of Industrial Measuring Technology and Non-Destructive Testing CONTROL-TECH. The events held from 28th to 30th September will present their new face.

It is the seventeenth time when the pavilions of Targi Kielce will host a few hundreds exhibition stands which will be the showcase for the companies from the business sector of metal production and services. The trade fair attendants will be given the possibility to see not only specialised machines and appliances designed for foundry engineering and non-ferrous metal processing, foundry furnaces for pressure casting, machine tools for cast processing; but analytical apparatuses and appliances for non-destructive laboratory tests. In addition to all that the exhibition will also be composed of more traditional ingredients owing to which the trade fairs have gained their popularity; and these are, among other things – components and raw materials used on metallurgical processes, pressure castings of aluminium, magnesium and zinc alloys, equipment and appliances for special purpose measurements and tests supplemented by components and accessories, computer support software for quality control as well as optical and electronic systems.

Joanna Adamczyk, Project Manager- the Fair of Industrial Measuring Technology CONTROL-TECH have gained a new name; and this is in direct association with the fair’s branch range expansion. From now on the CONTROL-TECH fair also comprises the sector of non-destructive tests which make it possible to examine and obtain information on the physical state of a particular object (material, product or construction), its qualities and faults without altering the object’s functional value.

Thus from this year on the branch range of CONTROL-TECH encompasses not only measuring tools, machines and instruments, special purpose measuring equipment, components of test and measure appliances, computer software for support and quality provision, optical-electronic systems but also analytical equipment and devices for non-destructive test.

Last year’s edition of the event brought together over 400 exhibitors from all corners of the world in addition to over 3,000 guests visiting the Targi Kielce exhibition centre. Last year also accounts for over 2,500 specialists and journalists from 10 countries who registered for the fair. It is estimated that 90% of fair visitors are the foundry and casting houses directors, production as well as marketing department heads and design office managers. Every year the METAL fair hosts the delegations of managers and directors from international foundries and casting houses, including such counties as Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Czech Republic, the USA, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Slovenia, Scotland, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Lithuania and Japan.

Piotr Pawelec, Project Manager- the always increasing interest generated by the METAL and ALUMINIUM & NONFERMET fairs stems from the fact that foreign companies, mainly from Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Latvia, China or Taiwan, find Polish market very attractive. Polish companies offer high quality standards at a very reasonable price; and this always appeals to potential clients. Additionally we enjoy a great support form our partners; the co-organisers of annual business-sector meetings, specialised conferences and workshops. And this year’s edition encompasses the 7th Scientific-Technical Conference TEROTECHNOLOGIE 2011 held by Kielce University of Technology in conjunction with Polish Scientific and Technological Association of Operators. In addition to this the metallurgy holiday will also feature the conference on “The Solidification and Crystallization of Metals”  organised by the Department of Metallurgy at the Silesian University of Technology, Metallurgy Commission of Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the Section of Metallurgy Process Theory at PAN and  Targi Kielce.

The METAL fair is UFI associated; UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry associates the most prestigious fair events in the world. The METAL exhibition co-organizers are the Foundry Chamber of Commerce, the Technical Association of Polish Foundrymen and Foundry Research Institute (the organisation which operates one of the most modern resource base designed for the foundry industry and metallurgy). The co-organizer of the ALUMINIUM & NONFERMET fair, the event held simultaneously with the METAL fair, is the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals – the leader of non ferrous metal business sector.
