China's mould industry attracts International brands.

Over 330 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions offered one-stop solutions from design to prototyping to series production for various manufacturing industries at the fifth Asiamold – Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition held in, Guangzhou, China in September.
The popular Automold & Subcontracting Zone returned with a stronger exhibitor profile and nearly 100 exhibitors. The special area featured the first auto mould manufacturer from Germany - Christian Karl Siebenwurst GmbH. Established over 100 years ago, the company provides mould and die solutions and most complicated tools in various technologies a unique service concept called ‘Tool Doctors’.
Sponsored by Winston Battery Manufacturing Co Ltd, the world’s first deluxe pure electric RV and a mobile emergency energy-storage vehicle was also on display in the zone. This supports the alternative-fuel car sector which is one of the key strategic industries mapped out in the Chinese government’s 12th Five-Year Plan.
In addition to the Automold & Subcontracting Zone, a new zone ‘China Creation Industrial Design Display / iDesign.Mfg.Power 2011’ was set up with strong governmental support. It was co-organised by the Guangdong Industrial Design Institute, Guangzhou Die & Mould Industry Association and Institute of Advanced Technology and Innovative Management. The zone featured a display area and a forum for industrial design and moulds.
In recent years, the Chinese mould-making industry has made substantial advancement with improved and sophisticated product quality and as a result the show is attracting more leading international brands.
Another show highlight was the first public showing in China of the Mitsubishi Electric 3D laser processing machine from the VZ10/VZ20 series. It is one of the world’s latest after processing machines and it specialises in manufacturing automobile parts, construction machine parts, tube products as well as cutting and welding electrical equipment. www.asiamold-china.com
