Foundry Workshop UK 2012.
Following the success of the FESA Foundry Workshop in 2010, FESA is to hold a second Foundry Workshop this year at the Worcester Rugby Club stadium on Tuesday 26 June.
The 2010 event attracted over 100 delegates from the foundry industry with 20 table-top exhibitors.
The format for this year’s one day Foundry Workshop will be the presentation of three papers, which all delegates attend, and 18 papers in breakout sessions when three papers at a time are given and delegates select the paper of their choice. This proved popular in 2010 and gave delegates the opportunity to be selective and to ensure a more personal approach to the event to get the maximum information out of the proceedings.
Speakers will include Professor John Campbell, and representatives from companies such as Foseco, Inductotherm Europe, Omega Foundry Machinery and FTL Foundry Equipment will present papers in the breakout sessions.
With ease of access at junction 6 of the M5 motorway, the Worcester Rugby Club is the ideal venue to host the event in the UK with large rooms ideal for conferences and free on site car parking.
A total of 24 exhibition table tops will be positioned in the catering room where teas/coffee and lunch will be served to the delegates.
A low fee has been designated for foundry workers and students to encourage participation from the foundry sector so casting manufacturers can take advantage of the opportunity to send employees along to sharpen their technical and practical skills and meet like-minded individuals.
The delegate fee for foundry managers and operators and foundry students is £49.50 + VAT and includes daytime refreshments and lunch. Other categories such as equipment and material suppliers will be charged at £120 + VAT.
The workshop is organised by Cast Metal & Diecasting Times with support from the Foundry Equipment and Supplies Association (FESA), the Institute of Cast Metal Engineers (ICME) and the Diecasting Society (DCS).
Funding opportunities are available through the Tor Lodge and Applecross Fund for suitable candidates, contact Andrew Turner on Tel: +44 (0) 121 601 6976.
