Italy - Renewable energy: online request for incentives
Tweet
Gse (Gestore Servizi Energetici) has activated on its website the link to submit the requests for the systems entering into operation from January 1st 2013 on. The users who wish to submit a request for their systems, both in direct access mode or already registered and admitted to auctions, can submit their application for incentives exclusively online on the FER-E portal.
The incentives passed with Ministerial Decree dated 6th July 2012 applies to hydroelectric, geothermal, wind-power, biomass and biogas systems whose power is at least 1 kW and to enter into operation from January 1st 2013 on. The annual cost of the incentives is approximately 5.8 billion euros. The Ministerial Decree also sets maximum annual limits of power admitted for the incentives and relating to every single year from 2013 to 2015, divides them according to the energy source and system typology as well as to the incentive access mode.
Systems can gain access to the incentives under four modes: direct access in case of new systems, wholly rebuilt, reactivated, reconstructed or upgrade at a power exceeding a preset limit; registration in such a position within annual limits of power admitted for the incentives; award of incentives deriving from competitive lowest bid auctions; registration in such a position within annual limits of power admitted for the incentives, in case of reconstruction of systems whose power exceeds the maximum limit admitted for the direct mode.
