The 6th China High-Level Foundry Industry Forum was held in Suzhou Convention Center on 7-8 , April 2013 , hosted by China Foundry Association. China High-Level Foundry Industry Forum is held biennially with the aim to lead the development of Chinese foundry industry. the theme of the forum highlighted Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development.
The forum was set with the world economy slowing down and the implementation of the 12th Five-Year Development Plan coming to the crossroads . Chinese foundry industry is now facing a critical period when we are to accelerate adjustment of structure and change the mode of development. The following hot issues and focal topics eg. social responsibility of the foundry industry, structural adjustment concerning the foundry industry, the implementation of green casting , enforce innovation and development , development trend of the downstream industry, the depth integration of industrialization and information technology ,were actively explored ,energy conservation measures were exchanged and advocated , advanced new equipment, materials and products were promoted in order to accelerate the transformation of Chinese foundry industry
