The World Trade Organization (WTO) published last week its review of Brazil's trade policies, noting the country has increased its use of import measures, which may have a restrictive impact on trade.
According to the document, attributed to Joakim Reiter, ambassador-permanent representative to the WTO, "members of the organization urged the Brazilian authorities to ensure accurate and fair application of such measures, as well as exercise restraint in the recourse to them as they may stifle trade."
