Indumil to Expand in South America

Indumil, Industria Militar de Colombia, Department of Colombia National Defense, will expand its foundry to include nobake production of sand molds and a fully integrated sand reclamation system in Colombia, South America.
The company will add high speed sand mixers, sand reclamation, compaction tables, pneumatic transporters, powder feeders, mold spray coating, as well as a magnetic separator, heater/cooler/classifier, mold handler, bucket elevator and cooling towers.
Palmer Manufacturing & Supply Inc., Springfield, Ohio, was awarded a contract worth more than $1 million for foundry layout, engineering, environmental consulting, integration and equipment installation. Palmer recently opened a South American engineering and sales office and increased engineering, sales, and production personnel in the U.S. to support this expansion.
Indumil’s expansion is scheduled to be complete in November 2013.
