Vallourec Inaugurates Plant in Saudi Arabia

Vallourec announced the inauguration of its new premium finishing plant for oil and gas tubes in Saudi Arabia, Vallourec Saudi Arabia. The facility, located in Dammam, is dedicated to heat treatment and threading for the full range of VAM® premium connections and has an annual capacity of 100,000 tons. Vallourec Saudi Arabia, a result of the 2011 acquisition of Saudi Seamless Pipes Factory Co., includes heat-treatment and finishing lines that were upgraded by Vallourec. An additional premium threading line was installed. Vallourec's total investment in the project, which is expected to create about 200 jobs, was approximately $200 million.
