ArcelorMittal Completes ThyssenKrupp Steel USA Deal.

ArcelorMittal, together with Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation, completed the acquisition of ThyssenKrupp Steel USA, a steel processing plant in Calvert, Ala., after receiving all the necessary regulatory approvals. Industrial Heating first reported the $1.55 billion deal, a 50/50 joint-venture partnership between the two companies, in December 2013. The Calvert plant has a total capacity of 5.3 million tons, including hot rolling, cold rolling, coating and finishing lines.
