Newport Electronics Merges into Omega Engineering.

As of Jan. 1, 2014, Newport Electronics merged into Omega Engineering. Newport has been a provider of high-precision test, measurement, process control and automation instrumentation for more than four decades. Newport is now a part of Omega and will do business under the Omega name. Omega Engineering was acquired by Spectris plc in 2011. The company offers over 100,000 state-of-the-art solutions for measurement of temperature, pressure, flow, level, strain, humidity, pH and conductivity, as well as a comprehensive line of data acquisition and electric heating products.
