Issued at 2014-10-14

StrikoWestofen GmbH will supply a StrikoMelter melting furnace to aluminum die-caster CastAlum of Welshpool, Wales. The system has a special shaft geometry that uses hot exhaust gases from the holding and melting process to preheat the material to be handled. This reduces the energy consumption of the actual melting process. Each of the fully automatic casting cells has a melting furnace of its own, and the capacity and volume of liquid aluminum kept at the ready are perfectly adapted to meet requirements.
