All Indices Show Growth Again

Industrial Heating’s monthly economic indicators for November 2014 showed growth for the second straight month. This is the first time all four indices have been over 50 in consecutive months since April-May 2012, a span of over two years. November 2014’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their October 2014 business levels to their September 2014 levels. November 2014’s index numbers:
• Change in number of request for quotes from Sept. to Oct. – 53.1
• Change in number of orders from Sept. to Oct. – 55.7
• Change in backlog from Sept. to Oct. – 52.7
• Expected change in the health of the industry through Nov. – 50.4
A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth. Look for these numbers, along with historical values, in December 2014’sIndustrial Heating.
