Fiat Chrysler Investing in U.S. Transmission Plant

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US LLC will invest an additional $266 million in its Kokomo Transmission Plant (Indiana) to increase capacity of the fuel-efficient TorqueFlite transmission. This is the sixth investment made at this facility since June 2009, bringing total investment in FCA US Kokomo operations to nearly $1.8 billion. This latest investment will be used to purchase new equipment and tooling and add more assembly capacity within the plant’s existing floor space. There will also be retention of employment. Work is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2016.
