Metallurgical Industry JV Begins Operations

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) and Siemens AG announced that joint venture in the field of metallurgy started operations. London-based Primetals Technologies Ltd. is a globally operating complete provider for plants, products and services for the iron, steel and aluminum industries. The joint venture will start operations with 9,000 employees coming from both partners. With the company’s combined portfolios, Primetals Technologies will offers solutions for the entire value chain in iron, steel and nonferrous production that extends from technologies for the treatment of raw materials to processing and finishing at the end of the production process.
