Bodycote opened a new heat-treatment plant in Taicang, China. The facility is designed to offer services required by automotive and general industrial customers, including heat-treatment processes such as carburizing, carbonitriding, annealing, normalizing and neutral hardening. The 5,000-square-meter plant includes a fully equipped laboratory for quality and metallurgical inspections. It complements Bodycote’s nearby Kunshan facility, which opened in September 2014 and provides nitriding and vacuum services. The Taicang facility in Jiangsu Province brings the number of Bodycote plants in China to five.
