Pakistan is a country of 186.2 million people with 1640 foundries operating with an installed capacity of 350,000 tons per year of Grey, SG Iron, Steel and Non-Ferrous castings. The Foundry Industry of Pakistan is engaged in the production of automotive parts, tractors, sugar mills machinery parts, cement factories consumables, chemical factories consumables, agriculture implements, heavy industrial castings, agriculture implements, pumps, valves, electric motors, textile and cement machinery, processing industries and others.
Pakistan Foundry Association has decided to accelerate its efforts in developing the local foundry sector for export market. Pakistan is set to grow as a producer and exporter of castings, expecting high growth in the auto sector, tractor industry, agriculture machinery and truck, bus sector.
Despite current economic situation, Pakistan is set to become a market for 152,524 cars in the year 2014-15 as compared to 116,605 in 2013-14 and 765,195 motor cycles in the year 2014-2015 as compared to 771,507 in the year 2013-14 in addition to bus, truck and farm machinery sectors. To fulfill the future demands of casting in Pakistan as well as for export destinations the Japanese/ Chinese auto giants and all interested to invest with their strong foot print in Pakistan.
The 6th IFCE will provide an opportunity to investors, machinery manufacturers, foundry material suppliers and service providers to showcase their products and services to their counterparts and potential customers to make alliance. This forum shall also provide a platform to the participants to get together & discus advancement and opportunities in foundry business. The international foundry consultants and speakers from Europe, China, India, UK, Turkey, representatives from European& Asian foundry Association will be available to meet casting producers and users to address their issues in casting in cast source meeting.
