Thermprocess Going Back to Four-Year Cycle
Tweet
After announcing in November that trade fairs Thermprocess, GIFA, METEC and NEWCAST were switching from a four-year to a three-year cycle, Messe Düsseldorf has changed course. The four trade fairs will revert back to their original four-year cycle in response to numerous requests from industry exhibitors. The next staging will be held in Düsseldorf June 25-29, 2019. According to Messe Düsseldorf Director Joachim Schäfer, “It has now become apparent that a shortening of the cycle would put too much pressure on the exhibiting companies. Since Messe Düsseldorf always acts in line with its customers’ requirements, it was decided to maintain the four-year interval for the four leading trade fairs – at the request of large numbers of exhibitors.”
Thermprocess, GIFA, METEC and NEWCAST are separate trade fairs geared toward their respective markets but together present the complete “Bright World of Metals.” At their last staging in 2015, the four trade fairs boasted a combined 2,214 exhibitors, with 78,000 visitors from more than 120 countries.
