New president at Italian association

Maurizio Sala has been appointed as the new president of Amafond, the Italian Foundry Suppliers’ Association, that brings together suppliers of machines, products and services for the foundry sector.
There are 94 company members of Amafond representing a turnover of approx €1.4m with an export share of 75 per cent. Sala is the president of Foundry Ecocer Srl and has been vice president of Amafond for several years.
The governing council includes vice presidents (products and services) - Amedeo Mazzon, sales director of F.lli Mazzon Spa and e Angelo Vezzuli, general manager of EKW Italia srl; vice presidents (machinery and equipment group) - Riccardo Ferrario, general manager of Idra srl and Francesco Tieghi CEO of Fomet srl.
