Brazilian pig iron export prices up on reduced availability, increased demand

Brazilian pig iron export prices went up this week because of increased appetites for product in the USA and Italy and reduced availability of the steelmaking raw material.
Carajás-origin pig iron was reportedly offered to US clients at an average price of US$ 385 / tonne fob, with demand levels in the North American country continuing to be considered good, according to Brazilian sources."
