US automakers make historic investment in Mexico
In the first half of 2017, the automotive sector of US companies invested 2 thousand 406 million US$, more than twice what they invested in the same period of 2016, when injected 912 million dollars.Valeo : new plant in San Luis Potosí
In order to double its production, Valeo Térmico began construction in San Luis Potosí of its new plant with an investment of 43 million dollars, for the production of 11 million units of thermal systems.

JAC MOTORS is one of the first Chinese automobile companies.It is an alliance with the Mexican Giant Motors that belongs to 50 percent to Carlos Slim.Cars will be produced in Sahagún, Hidalgo, with a new investment of 4,000 million pesos, 1000 creations of direct jobs and 4,000 indirect jobs to produce 40,000 vehicles.
ArcelorMittal announces an investment of 1,000 million dollars in Mexico
ArcelorMittal México steel plant has a territorial extension of 999.87 hectares. At the national level, more than 8,000 direct collaborators and close to 50,000 indirect employees.
Inauguration of Sekisui expansion in Morelos
This investment of 1,000 million pesos, to strengthen the automotive value chain in Morelos, represents a total of more than 5,000 million pesos.
With the new line, Sekisui, world leader in the manufacture of automotive windshield components, will increase its workforce by 44% and its production by 68% with a new reach to the US market.
FORD: new plant in MexicoFORD decided to produce an electric car in Mexico instead of in the United States.
Cuautitlán has been chosen for the manufacture of the vehicle from 2020.
Sandvik starts operations in Zacatecas
Sandvik opened a distribution center in the Calera industrial park that will offer about 300 jobs to Zacatecans and strengthen the industrial corridor of the center-north of the country. By the end of 2017, they will reach 8000 jobs.
FOREIGN INVESTMENTDIRECT TO MEXICO GROWS 32.5% IN THE THIRD QUARTER 2017
This figure is 32.5 % greater than the preliminary of the same period of 2016, which was four thousand 314.3 million.
According to the Ministry of Economy (SE), from January to September of this year, Mexico registered almost 22 Billons US $ (21,755 million dollars) of Investment Foreign Direct (IED), that is 10 percent more than the preliminary figure of the same period last year that was 19 thousand 772.6 million.
By country of origin, United States contributed 47.8 percent; Spain 12.1; Canada 7.7; Germany 6.3 and Australia 5.7 percent, etc.
