Brazil’s pig iron exports surge in Mar m-o-m

According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 438,000 tons in March this year, surging by 110.5% compared to the previous month. This figure hit a new high in recent years, reflecting higher demand from the US.
During the period, the exports were mostly to the US, Europe, and Asia, with the separate volume of around 352,000 tons, 63,000 tons, and 15,000 tons, mainly exported by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Pará.
