The Bright World of Metals 2023 trade fair was a success for the metalcasting industry. The event brought together 63,300 visitors from 114 countries to explore the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
The four world-leading trade fairs that comprised the Bright World of Metals were:
- GIFA: The International Trade Fair for Foundry Technology
- METEC: The International Trade Fair for the Metal Processing Industry
- THERMPROCESS: The International Trade Fair for Heat Treatment and Surface Technology
- NEWCAST: The International Trade Fair for Gray and Ductile Iron Castings
The trade fair featured a wide range of exhibits, including machines, plants, and solutions for the metalcasting industry. There were also numerous conferences and seminars on topics such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, and new casting technologies.
According to an attendee survey, 78% of visitors plan investments in the next two years. Nearly 70% of attendees were international visitors, with 31% having traveled from overseas.

- Sustainability: There was a strong focus on sustainability at the trade fair, with many exhibitors showcasing their latest products and technologies that help to reduce the environmental impact of metalcasting.
