Brazil’s pig iron exports decline in Aug m-o-m

According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 270,000 tons in August, experiencing a drop of 23.7% compared to the previous month.
During the period, the exports were mostly to the US, totaling around 209,000 tons. The Netherlands and Mexico were also main destinations, with a separate volume of roughly 31,000 tons and 24,000 tons.
The deliveries in August were mainly shipped by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Pará. Among them, deliveries from the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo occupied the largest share, totaling approximately 239,000 tons.
