German iron foundry appoints new CEO

The board of the Fritz Winter iron foundry has elected Gabi Wilwers as its new managing director.
In her new role, Wilwers will be responsible for finances and controlling, a role previously held by Jürg Müller. She will also be the central point of contact for banks, insurances and finance at Fritz Winter.
Wilwers brings extensive expertise and in-depth know how to the position.
Willwers joined the company on 1st January 2025 and has over twenty years’ experience in the financial sector, previously holding management positions at Ferrostaal GmbH, The Coatinc Company Holding GmbH and Oventrop, GmbH & Co KG.
Speaking about the appointment, Michael Goldbacher, chairman of the supervisory board of Fritz Winter Eisengießerei, said: “Gabi Wilwers combines strategic foresight with operational excellence and communicative strength. We are convinced that together with her management colleagues, Ralf von Hörsten, Dr Axel Drösser and Torsten Stein, and the entire team at Fritz Winter, she will successfully lead the company through the current challenges.”
Jörg Müller is leaving the management at his own request. “He has played a key role in shaping the strategic development of Fritz Winter and contributed to setting the future course within the company. We wish Jörg Müller all the best for the future, both personally and professionally,” said Goldbacher.
