As the largest international casting expo in the world and the top level exhibition in metallurgy and foundry industry, Metal + Metallurgy China & Casting China International & Refractories China will be held on May 11th -14th, 2010 at China International Exhibition Center (New Venue), Beijing. All the 8 exhibition halls of the New Venue will be used with more than 2000 exhibitors covering appx.100,000 square meters.
China is a significant market for the industry worldwide. The figures are powerfully proving the point. In 2008 the production of crude steel in China is 500 million tons, covering 38.28% of the world’s total output. The overall output of Chinese castings in 2008 was 33.5 million tons, which accounted for 1/3 of the world’s total output. Meanwhile, China is also the biggest consuming country. In response to the current economic circumstance, China will put altogether 9 trillion yuan ($1.3 trillion) into infrastructure projects such as roads and railways till 2020. The policy support has been bringing more and more opportunities to Chinese basic industries, such as metallurgical field, foundry field, castings and other related fields.
Metal + Metallurgy China 2010 consists of two world-leading fairs i.e. the 10th International Foundry, Metalforming & Industrial Furnaces Exhibition (METAL CHINA 2010) and the 12th China International Metallurgical Industry Expo (METALLURGY CHINA 2010). With 20 years’ history, Metal + Metallurgy China is a prestigious event with presence of almost every leading player of the industry throughout China and the world. To upgrade the industry chain, Casting China International was inaugurated in 2008. Its debut was a big success by covering 13,000 sqm of the latest finished casting products. It will be staged again in conjunction with Metal China 2010. Refractories China is a specialized Exhibition founded in 1996 and will be integrated with Metallurgy China in 2010 for first time. It is believed that the coalition of Metal + Metallurgy China, Casting China and Refractories China under one roof will exert an effect of “1+1+1+1>4” and provide a most comprehensive display of productivity solutions for the metal industry.
The exhibition has been a proven success with continuously growing space and the number of participants. In 2008 the total show space reached 60000 square meters. 1100 exhibitors (279 are overseas) and 31867 visitors from 30 countries took part in this grand event.
Metal + Metallurgy China, Casting China International & Refractories China has an excellent working team, including China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China Foundry Association (CFA), The Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (MC-CCPIT) , Industrial Furnace Institution of CMES , the Association of China Refractory Industry (ACRI), and CIEC Exhibition Company Limited.
It also has received wide support from international associations for years, including CEMAFON/CECOF from Germany, EUnited Metallurgy from Belgium, VDMA from Germany, ICE and AMAFOND from Italy, CISA from America, SOKEISAI from Japan, and FUNDIGEX from Spain, etc. The international network of the exhibition ensures its leading position in the world.
Another high light is the concurrent conferences. The 6th China International Steel Congress and the 9th China Foundry Association Congress will be staged together with the event as usual. Famous experts and professionals of the industries are invited to give speeches on hot topics. This is not only a high-level forum for the global industrial directors to exchange the experience of production and management, but also an excellent platform for commercial cooperation. A total of more than 2000 conventioneers are able to share industry-specific expertise with researchers and the industry leaders.
Although Beijing is in its coldest days of the year now, the work on booth reservation and arrangement is like a raging fire. Up to now, 90% of the international hall is sold out, and the organizer’s phones never stopped ringing, called from the companies who would like to get a portion on this grand event of metal and metallurgy industry. The continuous presentation of SIEMENS, TENOVA, DANIELI, PAUL WURTH, TMEIC, ABP, BALLUFF, EIRICH, PARK HANNIFIN, ABB, DISA, SINTO, LORAMENDI, HUNTERE, FUJI, INDUCTOTHERM, ALLIED MINERALS, SKF, SMS, HUNTER, AJAX TOCCO and MORGAN, together with German Pavilion, American Pavilion, Italian Pavilion, Spanish Pavilion, Belgian Pavilion and Taiwan Region Pavilion, ensures the high-quality of the event.
