More countries sign up to Global foundry body

The Brazilian Foundry Association has joined the World Foundry Organization. ABIFA (Associação Brasileira de Fundição) is the latest national foundry association to show its commitment to the global foundry market by joining the WFO to take advantage of the international exchange of foundry knowledge.
Another benefit of WFO membership is reduced rates for delegates from Member countries at World Foundry Congresses and Technical Forums.
Speaking about the latest member, WFO general secretary Andrew Turner said: "The WFO executives and representatives from member associations are delighted to welcome Brazil on board. The WFO's strength lies in the active involvement and diversity of its members who work collectively to exchange knowledge and develop the global foundry industry. The Brazilian Foundry Association is an important addition to the team and we look forward to developing strong links with South America as we have with East and West Europe, Asia and North America."
In the past year the South African and Bosnian Foundry Associations have also signed up to the WFO, which now has a membership of 30 countries.
