World Foundry Congress 2012.

The organisers of the World Foundry Congress 2012 have issued the first call for papers for the prestigious event to be held in Monterrey (Mexico) on 25-27 April 2012.
Papers should be submitted through your individual country member association (a list can be found on www.thewfo.com) or directly to Andrew Turner at the World Foundry Organization (email: andrewturner01@btinternet.com).
Papers are sought on the following specific symposium subjects: environmental protection; energy saving; cast irons; steel castings; cast composites; heat treatment; simulation of casting processes; application of computers, robotics and automation in the foundry industry; inorganic chemical binders; evaporative patterns casting and lost foam; rapid prototyping, austempered ductile iron; light alloy castings, innovations and education in the foundry industry and new refractory developments.
Initially a 75-150 word abstract is required by the end of June 2011, in Microsoft XP or lower version of Word or Rich Text Format (RTF). They should include a list of keywords. The final paper will need to be submitted by October 2011.
