The participants include such well-known companies as Oskar Frech GmbH, Heinrich Wagner Sinto Maschinenfabrik, Italpresse – Gauss from Italy, Magma, Hüttenes-Albertus Chemische Werke and Vesuvius GmbH Foseco Foundry Division. An initial review of the products presented shows that these companies are making outstanding progress and are playing a pioneering role in the development of low-energy products. The new drive concept from Oskar Frech GmbH, for example, offers potential savings of 30 to 60 per cent compared with conventionally driven hydraulic machines.
Energy efficiency is an issue that is being covered extensively in the high-quality side programme at the four trade fairs too. Since the fairs are closely linked to each other, the forums and congresses will give an entire sector of industry the chance to meet, exchange ideas and discuss trends.
Summary of GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, NEWCAST 2011
The four international technology trade fairs GIFA (International Foundry Trade Fair), METEC (International Metallurgical Technology Trade Fair), THERMPROCESS (International Trade Fair for Thermo Process Technology) and NEWCAST (International Trade Fair for Precision Castings) are being held in Düsseldorf from 28. June to 2. July 2011. Everything in the city on the River Rhine will be revolving around precision castings, foundry technology, metallurgy and thermo process technology for five days during these events. A high-quality side programme consisting of seminars, international congresses and lecture series is once again being organised at the trade fairs. All four trade fairs and the relevant programmes are focussing on the issue of energy efficiency and resource minimisation. Further information can be obtained in the Internet at www.gmtn.de or at www.gifa.de, www.metec.de, www.thermprocess.de and www.newcast.de.
Messe Düsseldorf organises not only GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST with the general motto “The Bright World of Metals” but also other high-quality trade fairs for the metallurgy and foundry industry all over the world. They include the trade fairs FOND-EX (International Foundry Fair) in the Czech Republic, Metallurgy Litmash (International Trade Fair for Metallurgy Machinery, Plant Technology & Products) in Moscow and Metallurgy India in Bombay. The range for the metal industries is supplemented by two more events at the Düsseldorf location: Valve World Expo (international industrial valve trade fair and congress) and ALUMINIUM, the global trade fair and congress run by Reed Exhibitions.
